FAQs

Hempsi™ produces a breakthrough new CBD oil, called LIVE OIL™ from Oregon grown hemp. It’s a premium, high-CBD, full-spectrum hemp extract.  Made from fresh frozen , USDA certified organic whole flower, and extracted with a cutting-edge cold hydrocarbon process, Hempsi’s™ LIVE OIL™ terpene profile is simply stellar. (Which is documented in our full panel COA.)

Through the careful harvest, storage, and processing of delicate hemp trichomes, Hempsi™ preserves the widest spectrum of undisturbed cannabinoids and the full range of terpene scents and effects. Hempsi™ Whole Flower LIVE OIL™ delivers the maximum benefit of the "entourage effect".

We hand harvest, Freeze in the field and extract frozen, and while that is a lot more time consuming and involved process, all parts equal the whole and it makes for some amazing oil.

“Per the FDA, we are not allowed to make ANY kind of health claims about what CBD oil does for ANY health condition. So we can’t tell you what CBD oil does (you will have to find that out on your own), but we do offer you a MUCH better CBD with many more beneficial compounds than most full spectrum products on the market.”

No. We are USDC Organic Certified.

We ship to all states, except those where there are restrictions.

According to the Hemp Farming Bill of 2018, it is legal to ship CBD oil in all 50 states in the US. ... Federal laws state that the CBD oil must be from hemp, and under 0.3% THC rather than from cannabis. Sep 4, 2019

Every bottle and product has a "best used" by date on the bottle.

Hemp is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain 0.3% or less THC content (by dry weight).

Marijuana is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain more than 0.3% THC (by dry weight) and can induce psychotropic or euphoric effects on the user.

Hemp gets you healthy but not high.

Our Full Spectrum CBD contains less than 0.3%. Our Broad Spectrum products do not contain any THC.

No, our products are only available in the US.

Biomass is harvested with large machinery, then heat dried. This greatly degrades the biological compounds of the plant including the cannabinoids and the terpene. Because we freeze our product within an hour of harvest all these compounds are saved and brought through into the final oil creating a much more full spectrum product that has many more compounds in it.

Terpenes are a large and diverse class of organic compounds, produced by a variety of plants, particularly conifers, and by some insects. They often have a strong odor and may protect the plants that produce them by deterring herbivores and by attracting predators and parasites of herbivores.

Terpenes have many benefits to health, improve the smell and taste of the product. There are many pieces of research online that you can look at around the benefits of terpenes.

No. The flavor of Hempsi Live Oil is 100% natural.

The endocannabinoid system is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids, which are endogenous lipid-based retrograde neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors, and cannabinoid receptor proteins that are expressed throughout the vertebrate central nervous system and peripheral nervous system.

he main difference is that full spectrum extracts may contain trace amounts of THC (under 0.3%), while broad spectrum extracts have the THC completely removed.

The entourage effect is a proposed mechanism by which cannabis compounds other than tetrahydrocannabinol act synergistically with it to modulate the overall psychoactive and physiological effects of the plant.

Unless otherwise indicated, we use MCT Coconut Oil  (MCT Coconut Oil: Medium Chain Triglycerides)

Our products are grown on a family-run USDA Certified Organic farm in Portland, OR on the 45th Parallel, near the banks of the Deschutes River.

We have been growing organic produce for over 20 years and it's reflected in the quality of our crops!

MCT is an abbreviation for medium-chain triglycerides, a health supplement that is derived from coconut oil. MCT is considered good fat, and what makes it unique is that the molecules of MCT are much smaller than most fats found in food, and this smaller size makes them far easier for the body to digest and absorb. In case you are wondering what’s the difference between MCT and coconut oil: they’re both saturated fats; coconut oil contains MCT and other fatty elements; MCT can stand alone.

Orders usually ship within 24 hours.

We have three types of Live Oil based on how they make you feel.

Anytime:

Our Early Resin Berry Hybrid strain is a mix of both relaxing and elevating. While not as strong one way or the other as our Indica or Sativa, it finds a good balance for people needing help with a wide range of ailments.

Evening:

Our Cherry Abacus Indica strain is sought after for its intensely relaxing effects. It may also help reduce nausea, keep aches and pains at bay and encourage sleep.

Daytime:

Our Hawaiian Haze Sativa strain often produces an uplifting, calming effect. If you use sativa-dominant strains, you may feel productive and creative, not relaxed and lethargic.

Hemp Oil is made from extracting the trichomes off the hemp plant. Hemp seed oil is made from the seeds on the plant. Although hemp seed oil is healthy for you it does not have the same effects as Hemps Extract not to mention frozen hemp flower extract.

Our THC Free* Broad Spectrum oil is ideal for those wanting relief without any THC. Drug test friendly with a range of effective compounds, this product is ideal for those who want the benefits of CBD & other cannabinoids.

At Hempsi we take pride in giving back to ensure things are done the right way. That’s why our farm is Fairtrade certified - meaning the workers that grow our hemp are fairly paid for the hard work.
